Our Apostle

Apostle Tyson is the Senior Pastor of Bethel Outreach Worship Ministries (B. O. W. Ministries) of Prince Georges County Maryland. Saved at the age of 16, he is a third generation preacher. Born in Washington, D.C., he was raised in Darlington, S.C. and now resides in Suitland Maryland with His wife Elect-Lady Leslie Tyson, and son Chris Jr.

Apostle Tyson is a graduate of Eastern Senior High School in Washington, D.C. Years later, sensing a great-er call on his life, he felt the need to continue his education in seminary and received his Bachelors degree in May of 2007 at Faith Christian University and Schools and is endeavoring to gain his Masters of Divinity.
Apostle and Lady Tyson are also premarital/marital counselors and SYMBIS Assessment Certified Facilitators with years of marriage mentoring.

Apostle Tyson has been in ministry for 24 years and has served as an Minister, Elder, Youth Pastor, Assistant Pastor and Pastor. In September of 2004, he was consecrated Bishop of New Day Assembly of Christ in S. E. Washington D. C. Sensing even a greater call, Apostle Tyson along with his wife, Lady Leslie Tyson, was moved by the Holy Spirit to birth Bethel Outreach Worship Ministries, a church where we are “Kingdom People, Kingdom Minded, for Kingdom Purpose.” Apostle Tyson also humbly serves as a Pastor and Mentor and Covering to many ministers and pastors, on the east coast.

In early 1995, the Lord Jesus Christ visited Apostle Tyson in a dream and conferred the Apostolic Gift on his life by the laying on His hands. As a result of that visitation, 21 years later, Apostle Tyson has grown into the anointed servant of God that he is today, willing and ready to fulfill that call.

The Word of God declares that the joy of the Lord is the strength of His people.
Therefore Apostle Tyson expounds the Word of God with great joy, fervency and anointing, throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area and abroad. He is an apostolic gift and is well rounded in his ministry to the Body of Christ and operates strongly within the “five-fold” ministry.
